  • 1999

    • Received the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit medal for the second time
    • Received the Investor Relations (IR) Award from the widely-read Korea Economic Daily newspaper

  • 1998

    • Received the Korea Economic Justice Award from the Citizens’ Coalition for Economic Justice organization
    • The Korea Stock Exchange designated Yuhan Corporation as the Best Public Corporation.
    • Yuhan Medica Corporation was established when Yukyung Medical acquired Yuhan Q-Food.
    • Yuhan exported the world’s first immunosuppressant solid injection technology (marketed today as Remicade) to the United States’ Schering-Plough Corporation

  • 1997

    • Completed construction of new Yuhan Corporation headquarters building, at the site of the original Yuhan building (Tong-Jak-Ku, Seoul)
    • Yuhan became the first Korea Government Scholarship Program (KGSP)-certified pharmaceutical company

  • 1996

    • Invested in Q-Food, Inc., and established Yuhan-Q Food
    • Completed construction of a second building for the Yuhan Research Institute (YRI) in Yong-in, Gyeonggi-do

    • Established Yuhan-C&T Co., Ltd.
    • Yuhan Corporation was awarded Grand Prize in the Korean Corporate Culture Awards competitionn

    • Yuhan Corporation received Quality Innovation Prize as part of the Korea Productivity Center’s (KPC) National Productivity Awards

    • Established joint venture with Gujarat Themis Biosyn, Ltd. (GTBL) in India

    • Cooperative development contract with Esoltek investment for degenerative arthritis medication
