Dr. New was well-known for stating that a company should give back to the society which fosters it. As a way of supporting both his personal recognition of the importance of education and his heart-felt belief that corporations should support public service, Dr. Ilhan New founded the Yuhan School to deliver vocational skills and knowledge to the younger generation.

The history of the school began with the establishment of Goryeo Technical School in 1953. In the 1960s, the Yuhan Corporation established the Yuhan Middle and High Schools as well as the Korean Society and Education Trust Funds. To this day, the Yuhan Technical High School plays a key role in Korean vocational education and serves as a hub for fostering young talent. The Yuhan College continues this development for the success of Korean industry.
